AR Rahman wins 2 Oscars

Congratulations to the musical genius AR Rahman. He has made us proud of him. The 81st Academy Award made AR Rahman on top of the world. He won two Oscar awards for the Best Original Score and Best Original Song for Slumdog Millionaire directed by Danny Boyle. ARR is the third Indian to win an Oscar, after costume designer Bhanu Athaiya for her work in Gandhi in 1983 and director Satyajit Ray in 1992. Although Slumdog Millionaire is technically not an indian film, ARR made Indians world wide swell the pride.ARR deserves this victory not only for Slumdog Millionaire but for the fabulous music and movie bits he has been making since 1992.

Vijay or Ajith in the MGR remake!

Puratchi Thalaivar MGR is a legend who created sorts of box office during his times. His movies, songs and movie titles still creating hype in tamil cinema market. MGR starrer Enga Veetu Pillai was produced by Nagi Reddy. This was a dual role subject which had Saroja Devi and Rathna as his lead pairs.After all this years, Nagi Reddy's son, producer Venkatram Reddy is planning to remake this film. He also mentioned that talks are on with Vijay and Ajith and final decision about the hero will be announced soon.

Vijay's Vettaikaran Launched

AVM's "Vettaikaran" pooja was held in simple manner at AVM Film Studios famous Pillayar Kovil (Vinayagar Temple). This movie will be Ilaythalapathi's 49th movie. AVM Balasubramaniam is the producer of this venture and debutant director Babu Sivan will wield the megaphone. "Nakka Mukka" fame Vijay Antony will score the music in this action adventure film. Anushka, the hot and sizzling girl is being paired for the first time with Vijay in the film.

Ajith's new look for 'ASAL'

Ajith's next project is ASAL with his hat-trick (Kathal Mannan, Amarkalam and Attagasam) director Saran.The movie features Sameera Reddy as lady lead role, and will have music by Haris Jeyaraj.This venture is to be produced by Sivaji Films.
