Gautham Menon to direct Ajith

The latest buzz in kollywood is Gautham Menon is to direct Ajith after the release of Vaaranam Ayiram.The shooting will be starting around November and most probably this movie will hit screen by April 2009.This project is named "Surangani" and to be produced by Sivaji Productions. Sameera Redy who has acted apposite Surya in Gautham's Vaaranam Ayiram is expected to play the role of Ajith's lady. This film is about a small time gangster who rises to become a big don. Since the don look suits thalai, sure this movie will create a huge expectation among his fans.
Cinematography will be handled by Nirav Shah who was the cinematographer in Pokiri, Billa, Poda Poddi (2009 release).
Maybe after this project, Ajith will sign the dots for 'Thalaivan' which is to be directed by R.Madhesh..Just wait and see.
Thalai become Thalaivan

Director Madhesh who churned out the Vijay flick 'Madura' and Vijaykanth's Arasangam is all set to team up with Ajith for a film titled 'Thalaivan'.
According to reliable sources, Madhesh wanted to team up with Vijay but since our Ilayathapathi is busy with Villu and Vetaikaran, he approached Ajith. The actor fondly called 'Thala' by his fans is reportedly happy with the story and has given green signal to Madhesh.
Once Ajith's 'Aegan' is released, work on this new venture will be started. The title of the film will be something Ajith fans would simpy love. Further details about the movie will be announced soon.

Surya as Superman

Surya's new avatar has started to spread.According to reliable sources, Surya will be seen as Superman, saving people's life and fighting against crime and injustice.This movie will be Kollywood's version of comic book hero "Superman". This movie is slated to commence in 1-2 years time..Wow, Kollywood is changing to a different dimension..Meanwhile, Surya's Varanam Ayiram is expected to hit theatres for Diwali 2008. This movie which is directed by Gautham Menon will feature Surya in double role as 18 years old youngster and 65 years old man. For this project, Surya made a great job by paying remarkable attention to the

Vijay in Prakash Raj's Production House

Duet Movies is Prakash Raj's production house. Currently this production team is busy with the audio launch of Abiyum Naanum.Meanwhile there are 2 movies in pipeline to be released, Mayilu and Inithu Inithu.In addition, Prakash Raj revealed that he planning to rope in Vijay into his next production venture.According to reliable sources, Vijay is approached for this project and its not known yet if he will give the green signal.

Rajini's Yenthiran

Rajini's next film is titled Yenthiran instead of Robot which is planned earlier. Yenthiran is a science-fiction movie being directed by Shankar. Since this is a dream project of Shankar and with the combo of Rajini and AR Rahman, the expection is very high. This mega project's budget is expected to cost 120 crores and in the race to become India's most expensive movie to date.
Despite several rumours regarding the lead acteress,Aishwarya Rai is confirmed to portray the female role. Telugu actor, JD Chakravathy was chosen ahead of other actors to play the role of the villain in the film. Rumours also spreading that Amitabh Banchan, Arjun and Narain are approached for other roles which is not confirmed yet.
Along with Shankar's usual directorial assistants, Manoj Bharathiraja, son of noted fimmaker Bharathiraja, was signed on to be an assistant director .Sabu Cyril was signed up as the art director while Rathnavel has taken up the post of the cinematographer.
Its too early to predict the release date of the film although it is announced for 2010 Tamil New Year.
